From 6 until 17 March 2017, Afterall Art Research Centre shared its online work-in-progress regarding the exhibition ‘The Other Story: Afro-Asian Artists in Post-War Britain’, curated by Rasheed Araeen in 1989–90. During this time, the microsite that we are currently developing to re-present and analyse this important show was open to visit. The page is now closed but preview images of the research can be seen below. We welcome your thoughts and feedback, that can be left in the comments section of this blog, as we continue to develop this resource.
This public initiative was part of Research Fortnight at University of the Arts London (UAL).
Lucy Steeds, Senior Research Fellow at Afterall, initiated the microsite with the support of a Digital Project Grant from the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art. She is currently developing the project in conjunction with students at Central Saint Martins, UAL, with Digital Pedagogy funding from the Teaching and Learning Exchange. Digital design, web development and creative technological support is provided by The Useful Arts company.
